Beruhend auf dieser Sammlung wurde die Morphologie und Ultrastruktur von zahlreichen Samen aus verschiedenen Pflanzenfamilien rasterelektronenmikroskopisch untersucht. Bis jetzt liegen mehr als 6.000 Detailaufnahmen vor und liefern wertvolle Informationen für die botanische Systematik, Ultrastruktur, sowie paläobotanische und archäobotanische Untersuchungen.Der zweite Teil des vorliegenden Samenatlases umfaßt die Schmetterlingsgewächse (Fabaceae) und Johannisskrautgewächse (Hypericaceae). Öggl…The Botanical Institute of Innsbruck University has an extensive collelction of plant seeds. Based on this collection of morphology and ultra-structure of numerous seeds from different plant families were investigated using SEM. So far more than 6.000 detailed microphotographies are available and provide useful information for botanical systematics, ultrastructural, palaeobotancial and archaebotanical studies.The second volume of the present seed atlas encompasses the legume (Fabaceae) and the St. John`s Wort (Hyperiaceae) family.
